New Year’s is a time for reflection and creating goals for the future. Perhaps this year you will become more responsible and prepared in the event of a devastating accident.

- Don’t’ use your cellphone while driving. Keep your cellphone out of reach to avoid using it while operating a motor vehicle.
- Create or update my home emergency preparedness kit. When an accident or an injury occurs, having an emergency first aid kit at home can be of great use before medical attention arrives. At the very least, make sure your kid contains enough food, water, and medical supplies that will last 72 hours.
