Child CustodySinger Involved In Child Custody Dispute

May 9, 20170

From relocation to visitation rights, there are a wide variety of legal issues that sometimes come with divorce. For those who are concerned about being able to spend time with their children, a child custody dispute can be highly emotional and stressful. In Salt Lake City, Utah, people who are seeking child custody rights should make sure they take every detail of their situation into account and are prepared to fully commit to obtaining an outcome that is in the best interests of the child.

R&B singer Chris Brown is involved in a child custody dispute with his daughter’s mother, model Nia Guzman. While Guzman is requesting that Brown pay $15,000 per month in child support, the singer feels like that is too much and recently filed papers asking a judge to keep his child support obligations closer to the current amount he pays, $2,500 per month.

On top of child support matters, Chris Brown is also trying to establish paternity and wants to secure firm custody guidelines. The singer claims that the mother of his daughter has not been allowing him to spend time with the child.

When people find themselves in the position of fighting for the custody of their children, it can be incredibly difficult. However, it is paramount for anyone who is going through this hardship to stay committed every step of the way. For some people, discussing the ins and outs of their set of circumstances with a knowledgeable legal professional can be very beneficial and help them make the right moves.
